Diving Travel Notes
Diving Travel Notes:
Airline and Equipment The general rule for airlines is that Diving equipment must be included in the weight allowance for the airline (normally 20kg). Many airlines will allow an extra 5kg, providing you show certification and pack diving equipment seperately.
Certificates and log books: Excpet for beginner courses, all divers wishing to dive must produce internationally recognised diving certificates (eg PADI, BSAC) Please note many dive centres will ask you to undertake an orientation dive and this maybe considered as your first dive. You must present your dive certificate(s), log book and current medical certificate where necessary, before you dive. Failure to do so, may result in refusal to dive and no refunds will be accepted. Children: Minimum age at which children can dive is 12yrs old.
Dive Centre: Camel Dive club is a fully licensed dive centre and is staffed by instructors and dive masters, they meet stringent safety and insurance requirements. It is up to the individual to use a liscensed operator and Key2holidays cannot take responsibility for other arrangements made by passengers. Diving & Environment: Coral reefs are unique, do not touch any coral formation or remove any coral or reef animals, for this may lead to a criminal offence.
Equipment: You will need to take or hire, mask, fins, snorkel, regulator with octopus and pressure gauge and BCD with inflator. Each diver is required to have their own gauge or a dive computer. Wetsuits are reccommended, most centres have a limited range so if possible take your own.
Insurance: All customers of Key2travel are required to be properly insured. All customers must have Scuba Diving accident and medical cover. Please see Safety and Medical. Key2holidays unfortunately cannot provide you with diving insurance. |
